The foot is wrapped in genuine black stingray, its naturally pearled, beaded surface glittering with the light, while the tall black leather shaft is hand-inlaid with a graceful garden of ivory leaves and scrolls, edged in crisp white piping. Black and white, exotic and elegant: the most classic combination there is, made unforgettable.

The magic is in the mix — that shimmering black stingray below, the smooth black leather and delicate cream leaf-work above, all lifted by a taller stacked heel that lengthens the leg. Why black and white

Named for a still Montana lake, George Lake takes its palette from the water at dusk — deep black, threaded with the pale reflection of the sky. On shimmering stingray, with a scroll of ivory leaves climbing the shaft, that timeless pairing becomes something truly special.

Fun fact: stingray, the toughest leather there is

Stingray is one of the most resilient leathers on earth. Its surface is covered in tiny calcified beads — the same skin once known as shagreen, prized for centuries by Japanese samurai to wrap their sword handles because it never slipped and never wore out. It is naturally waterresistant, scratch-resistant and remarkably hard-wearing, which is why a stingray boot is truly a boot for life — it shrugs off everything and only looks better with the years.

How to wear it?

Black and white goes with absolutely everything, and the higher heel makes George Lake a natural for dressing up. Craftsmanship

Designed in Montana and handmade in Italy, each pair features a premium leather lining and cushioned insole. Every boot is entirely handmade, with particular care taken over the sole — hand-built and hand-finished for lasting comfort and durability. We use tree resin instead of chemical glue and cork filling for support, so your feet stay dry and comfortable. Each pair is stitched and tooled by hand — frontier-tough boots that conform to the wearer over time and become more beautiful with every year.

A rare, collectible edition

Just 16 pairs of this style will ever be made. We craft in deliberately small runs — each colour its own little edition — so the boots you choose stay rare and personal. They are made to be collected, never mass-produced; and as any true boot lover knows, there is no such thing as too many beautiful pairs in the closet. When this run is gone, it is gone for good.

Inspired by the landscapes, lakes and frontier spirit of the American West, every pair is crafted by master Italian artisans from exotic leathers — python, alligator, stingray, ostrich, lizard and eel — that we source and finish ourselves.
