Drinking Horse in Emerald Green was a jewel of a boot — glossy genuine alligator in a deep, regal emerald, finished with fine tobacco-brown piping, a sharp pointed toe and a classic stacked heel. Rich, polished and impossibly elegant, it was exotic luxury at its most selfassured. And now it has found its owner.
It now lives in The Archive — the home for our retired and sold designs. We share it here as part of the Rockies Rebels story: proof of what we love to make, and a glimpse of the rare, hand-built exotic pieces that pass through our workshop. This exact pair is gone, but its spirit lives on in every new collection.
From a previous collection Every Rockies Rebels design is made in a deliberately tiny run and, once it sells, it is retired for good — no restocks, no reissues. Why emerald green Emerald? is the color of the deep Montana forest and the glassy, glacier-fed lakes tucked into the mountains — cool, rich and full of life. I wanted to translate that jewel-green into the finest alligator we make: a color that feels like nature and luxury at once. Deep enough to behave like a neutral, bold enough to be the whole story.

Rockies Rebels
is a luxury western boot house designed in Montana and handmade in Italy. Inspired by the landscapes, lakes and frontier spirit of the American West, every pair is crafted by master Italian artisans from exotic leathers — python, alligator, stingray, ostrich, lizard and eel — that we source and finish ourselves. Built entirely by hand with special care taken over the sole and released in limited runs of up to 16 pairs, our elevated cowboy boots bring together American soul and Italian craftsmanship in footwear made to last a lifetime
