Cloud Nine in Grey Lizard is a men's exotic western boot that feels exactly like its name — easy, elevated and effortlessly cool. Genuine lizard in a soft, smoky grey wraps the foot in fine, tightly grained scales with a subtle sheen, set against a black tooled leather shaft, a classic pointed toe and a stacked heel. For the man who rides I designed Cloud Nine for the man who lives for the ride — whether the horsepower under him has four legs or two wheels. Picture him easing down an open road on his motorcycle, then loping across the field on his horse the next morning: same freedom, same grin, same feeling of being on cloud nine. This is a boot for that man — one that looks as right on the bike as it does in the saddle, and just as good walking into dinner afterward.

Why the grey Grey is the quiet power color — cooler than brown, softer than black, and endlessly versatile. In rare lizard it turns smoky and refined, like a bank of cloud with the light behind it. Paired with the black shaft, it becomes a true monochrome: understated, modern and impossible to get wrong. A grey boot a man will reach for again and again.

Lizard is one of the most refined exotic leathers a boot maker can work with — its scales are small, tight and beautifully regular, which is exactly what gives the boot its elegant, finished look and its subtle play of light. It takes real skill to work, and because every skin is natural, no two pairs are ever exactly the same. Supple, durable and quietly luxurious, lizard is the exotic for the man who prefers his luxury understated. 

How to wear it?

On the road: with dark denim, a plain tee and a leather jacket — the grey-and-black boot finishes the look without shouting. In the city or a western town: with charcoal or navy tailoring, or worn jeans and a good shirt headed to dinner. Grey is a true neutral, so these move from the bike to the bar to the ranch without a second thought. 

Craftsmanship

Designed in Montana and handmade in Italy, each pair is built entirely by hand with a premium leather lining, cushioned insole and special care taken over the hand-built sole. We use cork filling and tree resin instead of chemical glue, so your feet stay dry and comfortable — frontiertough boots that conform to the wearer over time and only get better with every year.

Just 10 pairs of this style will ever be made. We craft in deliberately small runs — each color its own little edition — so the pieces you choose stay rare and personal. They are made to be collected, never mass-produced; and as any true boot lover knows, there is no such thing as too many beautiful pairs in the closet. When this run is gone, it is gone for good.
