Why “Bluebird”?
This color is a memory. One clear morning, the alpine water at Emerald Lake was the most impossible turquoise — so bright and still that the blue sky came right down to meet it, and you could barely tell where the water ended and the sky began. That is Bluebird: the turquoise of mountain water on a perfect, cloudless day. (A “bluebird day” is what we call those clear-sky mornings in the mountains — and the Mountain Bluebird wears this very same brilliant turquoise.) It is a little piece of that morning, captured in leather.
Fun fact: lizard, the fine exotic Lizard
is one of the most refined exotic leathers there is — prized for its small, tight, intricate scales and its supple, lightweight feel. Each skin carries its own natural grain, so the texture is never repeated from one boot to the next. It takes real skill to cut and match by hand, which is exactly why a lizard boot reads as quietly luxurious — understated up close, unmistakable in the light.
