Garnet Mountain in Ember is a true one-of-a-kind — a deep, glossy red eel-skin cowboy boot with a shaft that blazes in red and gold. Genuine eel wraps the foot in a rich crimson with a liquid, mirror-like sheen, while the tall shaft is stitched corner to corner in an intricate flame pattern — red thread shot through with gold — an extraordinary amount of handwork most boots never attempt. Sharp pointed toe, tall stacked heel, pure drama from every angle.
This is a boot for making an entrance. Fiery, glamorous and impossible to ignore, it turns denim into a statement and an evening into an event. And because there is exactly one pair in the world, this particular fire belongs to one woman alone.
Why “Garnet Mountain”? Garnet Mountain is one of our favorite Bozeman-area hikes, crowned by an old fire lookout that once watched over the whole valley for the first sign of flame. The name fits this boot twice over: garnet is a deep red gemstone — the exact colour of the eel — and the flame-stitched shaft looks like the very wildfire that lookout was built to spot, climbing the leg in red and gold. A boot named for the mountain, colored like its gem, and lit like the view from the top. — Chiara
The fun detail: a fully stitched shaft
Most western boots carry a few rows of decorative stitching. This one is different: the entire shaft is stitched, edge to edge, in a hand-guided flame motif — layered red and gold thread that catches the light and moves like fire as you walk. It is hours of skilled handwork, and it is a big part of what makes this pair unrepeatable. No two flames are ever stitched exactly the same way twice.
Fun fact: eel, the rarest of exotics Eel is one of the rarest and most unusual exotic leathers in the world — very few boots are ever made from it. Prized for its extraordinarily soft, silky hand and deep, liquid sheen, it is as tough as it is beautiful, with a fine seamed grain all its own. In this glossy Ember red it looks almost molten. Owning a pair of eel-skin boots puts you in very rare company — this is not a boot you will see on anyone else.
Craftsmanship
Designed in Montana and handmade in Italy, each pair is built entirely by hand with a premium leather lining, cushioned insole and special care taken over the hand-built sole. We use cork filling and tree resin instead of chemical glue, so your feet stay dry and comfortable — frontiertough boots that conform to the wearer over time and only get better with every year.
How to wear it? Let the boots be the whole statement. For day: blue or black denim and a plain white tee, so the red does the talking. For evening: a little black dress or tailored black trousers for pure drama. Red this bold is bolder than any accessory — keep everything else clean and walk in like you own the place.
A One & Only — a single pair This is a One & Only — a single pair, made once and never again. There is no second size, no restock, and no other pair like it anywhere in the world. When it finds its owner, this design is retired for good. Truly one of a kind — wearable art for the collector who wants something no one else can have
