Why turquoise — the color that named Hidden Lake 

This turquoise is a real place. It is the colour of a hidden mountain lake that sits right at the foot of the peaks near our home in Montana — the kind of water you only reach after hours of hiking, fly rod in hand. Even in high summer there is still snow on the shore, and the lake glows the most intense, impossible turquoise you have ever seen. When the sun is high and strong, that blue lifts off the water and seems to melt straight into the sky, until you cannot tell where the lake ends and the heavens begin. Some nights we never leave — we just stay, and sleep out under the stars. That lake is where the whole Hidden Lake style takes its name, and this is the boot that finally wears its true colour.

Genuine alligator is the most coveted exotic leather in the world, prized for its bold, symmetrical tile pattern, its supple hand and its remarkable durability. Each skin is selected and cut by hand — and to set turquoise against navy across a single boot takes even more of it, and even more skill. Every boot is entirely handmade, with particular care taken over the sole — hand-built and hand-finished for lasting comfort and durability. We use tree resin instead of chemical glue and cork filling for support, so your feet stay dry and comfortable. Each pair is stitched and tooled by hand — frontier-tough boots that conform to the wearer over time and become more beautiful with every year.

A rare, collectible edition Just 10 pairs of this style will ever be made. We craft in deliberately small runs — each colour its own little edition — so the boots you choose stay rare and personal.
