Laughing Horse — Brown Eel

Laughing Horse in Brown is a men's western boot unlike anything else out there — because almost no one makes boots in eel. Genuine eel leather in a deep chocolate brown gives this boot an extraordinary hand: silky, glossy and rich, with a liquid sheen no ordinary leather can match. The story behind the horses

When I was designing these, I pictured wild horses running free across the open range — laughing, kicking up the dust, moving as a herd with their friends. That joy and freedom is tooled right into the shaft. Wear them in the city and carry a little of that ranch life with you, or pull them on for a night at your favorite steak house in a small western town. Fun fact: eel, the rarest of exotics

Eel is one of the rarest, most unusual exotic leathers in the world — very few boots are ever made from it. Prized for its extraordinarily soft, silky hand and deep, liquid sheen, it is as tough as it is beautiful, with a distinctive character all its own. Owning a pair of eel-skin boots puts you in very rare company — this is not a boot you will see on anyone else.

How to wear it?

In the city: wear with dark denim and a jacket, or with brown or navy tailoring for a rich, grounded look — brown stands apart from the sea of black and reads instantly refined. In a western town: jeans, a good shirt and these boots, headed to dinner. Chocolate brown plays beautifully with denim, tan, cream, grey and navy alike.

Craftsmanship

Designed in Montana and handmade in Italy, each pair is built entirely by hand with a premium leather lining, cushioned insole and special care taken over the hand-built sole. We use cork filling and tree resin instead of chemical glue, so your feet stay dry and comfortable — frontiertough boots that conform to the wearer over time and only get better with every year.

A rare, collectible edition 

Just 8 pairs of this style will ever be made. We craft in deliberately small runs — each color its own little edition — so the pieces you choose stay rare and personal. They are made to be collected, never mass-produced; and as any true boot lover knows, there is no such thing as too many beautiful pairs in the closet. When this run is gone, it is gone for good
